No student sitting for his or her Advanced Level Examination looks forward to the month of July. It’s the month where the toughest obstacle in life is just a few days away. It’s the month of cramming last minute theories and attempting last minute questions. It’s the make or break month for most students. Most of us tend to spend more time worrying about the impending exam instead of putting all our effort towards preparing for it. We forget the fundamentals of time management and end up having too much to do in too little time. However, it is important to remember that Advanced Level is yes, an important exam, but after all, it’s just another challenge to overcome in life.
All of us at GuruPaara have experienced the wrath of July. We know how hard it can be to get through this month productively. Therefore, we felt that it was important to impart a little bit of wisdom about how to make the most of the last month before A/Ls along with someone who has excelled at it.

Kanchana is currently an undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa and a past pupil of Royal College Colombo. He was the mathematics stream island 13th for his Advanced Level Examination and has been an overall performer throughout his academic life. He is reading for his degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at present.
Kanchana was a Senior Prefect at his school while being an executive member of a number of organizations such as Gavel Club, Interact Club, the school Website, Sri Lanka Model United Nations etc. He has also excelled in sports through Football and theatre via Shakespeare, making him a well-rounded individual who has always managed his time purposefully.
Adding to his long list of accomplishments, Kanchana has also represented Sri Lanka through the fields of mathematics and debating. He has also managed to find the time to engage in a number of community development projects both during school and university.
