I need the answers
Very sorry for taking more than 2 days.
This was really a huge challange..
Last three reactions helped me to find out the answer.
When I quickly go through the reactions I remembered about Mg 's reaction with the Nirogen gas.
Then rememebered about Ammonium Nitrite 's thermal decomposition, bcz it gives N2 and water.
Completely matched with the above compounds.
Then last one also matched and found B as Mg(OH)2 and W as NH3
But unfortunately I was unable to find out the other compounds as there were some differences.
Bcz if M is Mg then what would be A..??
That's where I found that Mg is not the right element for M.
But I was quite sure about those last three reactions.
Then I remebered about Ca, which is an element in the same group(2nd group) of Mg in the Periodic Table.
Then I choosed M as Ca and substitude it to other reactions, to see whether there is a mismatch.
Nothing mismatched but unable to reminise A and gas X.
Then accidently I reminised a reaction in my organic note of alkenes.
that's where I cleared all the mismatchings.
CaC2 + H2O = Ca(OH)2 + C2H2
Then the 5th reaction is also matched with the compounds of Ca.
After confirming A is CaC2 and B is Ca(OH)2
I found that the white solid would be CaCO3 and therefore the Y gas would be CO2.
After that all the other compounds were matched
Actually I got some help from two of my friends.
The credit should goes to them..
Thamara great ma bro
Anyway Thanks A Lot Bro
U hve dedicated Ur Valuable time .So thanks A Lot
Your're welcome මලයා
Thamara Good explanation
Thanks bro 🙂
RajithaMihiranga help ekak dennakoo
RajithaMihiranga how you studied chemistry at a/l s?
Bro I frgt to thanks Both of ur frnds too.
Thanks them too
Bte I have another doubt
Is Pb(OH)2 is a gelationous white precipitate or white precipiate ??
Nd gve the names of all gelationous precipitates
Pb(OH)2 is a white gelatinous precipitate.
Hard to remember all the gelatinous pracipitates.
But found some, which were frequently asked in the AL papers.
This is 2015 A/L Question
In the Marking scheme the metal T is given as Al. I need to Know the reason Why T can't be Pb
Pls expain me
And one more thing, if you found GuruPaara Forum Helpful please do share this with your Friends and on Facebook to help grow our community.
If they add conc. HCl, PbCl2 will also dissolve. But in this case they are adding dil.HCl. So that will help us to choose Al as the correct element for T
Thamara Thanks A Lot Bro !
